I made these cute “Buffalo” charms from precious metal clay (silver) to attach to bracelets.
Precious metal clay is a cool new thing I have learned from my friend Dawn Digesare. The material starts as clay. You can roll it, cut it with cookie cutters. stamp it and manipulate it like clay. Then you dry it and sand off any rough edges. When you are satisfied with how it looks, you fire it in the kiln. When you fire it, all the binding material burns off and you are left with only the silver. Place into a tumbler to polish. The silver is shiny when it is done tumbling. I like to add a patina and buff for a matte finish.
